Chicago is one of the best cities for running in the United States, with gorgeous places to run and a great running culture. The iconic Chicago runs are downtown, incorporating the Lakefront Path and historic parks. In the suburbs, there are gorgeous residential neighborhoods and an extensive series of Forest Preserves.

Our friends at Great Runs will be at the Run Show and have created some local runs for those travelling from out of town. Check out these links Great Runs – Chicago Downtown & Central and Great Runs – Chicago Suburbs.

For those attending the Run Show and staying in Rosemont there’s terrific running adjacent to the DES Convention Center: Schiller Woods has playing fields and numerous paths. The 17-mile Des Plaines River Trail runs through Schiller Woods and connects to several other nearby parks and preserves.
