Run for Change Coaching was founded in 2011 by Coach Denise Sauriol. She started coaching runners after surviving a near fatal car accident as her way to give back to running for what it has given to her since she laced up her first pair of running shoes back in the 4th grade.
Denise has guided runners to their first 5K all the way to 100-mile ultra-marathons. She provides virtual coaching all year round and from June through October, she provides group training on the Chicago Lakefront path. Her goal in working with her clients is to help them run their first, fastest and or funnest race.
She recently published a book to help runners complete their first marathon, “Me, You & 26.2 -Coach Denise’s Guide to Get YOU to YOUR First Marathon” She has been featured on NBC, BBC, ABC, Runner’s World, Women’s Running, etc. Her own running career spans 28 years of Marathoning. She has run over 300 races across 7 Continents. This includes 126 marathons, 2 Ironman triathlons and 2 100-mile ultramarathons. She has also completed the Abbott World Marathon Majors twice. Denise is also one of the Co-Founders of the Girls on the Run-Chicago chapter.
