Adrienne Benton

Adrienne is an enthusiast and advocate for the sport of distance running and has worked, through a variety of initiatives and organizations to bring more seniors and people of color into the sport.  Adrienne has always believed that physical activity is a pillar of good health however, did not begin her run journey until 2014 when one of her siblings completed a 5k.  Adrienne stated, “At the time, I couldn’t run a mile!”  Since 2014 she has completed a number of 5k, 10k and Half Marathons and most notably completed six(6) marathons.  NYC (2017, 2021), Boston (2018, 2021), Chicago (2019), Berlin (2021).

Adrienne is business owner, philanthropist, a member of the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) Board of Governors, the Boston Running Collaborative (BRC) Steering Committee, a member of Black Girls Run – Boston and the National Black Marathoners Association.
